How do you allow users of both Vanilla Forum and Mediawiki to use one username and password, like how Wikihow?
-
Does anyone know how wikihow uses mediawiki and vanilla forum but users only have to register once and can use both software?
-
Answer:
Vanilla forum has a robust single sign on (SSO) API. You can find more information here: http://vanillaforums.org/docs/singlesignon You have to determine which platform (Vanilla or MediaWiki) to be the authority and integrate the other. Happy hacking!
