Does Google allow any free use of its Adwords API?

How does Google charge for use of its Adwords API tool when using it to import keyword search volume into Google docs? I sifted through a fair bit of documentation, but didn't get their system for charging for data use. For example: - Is there a specific number of keyword search volume queries that can be done for free? - If I use code to import data into Google docs, will each time the doc is loaded count as new queries? I.e., if I have 50 queries in a Google spreadsheet for search volume data (50 terms), and I load the page 10 times, will that count as 500 queries?

Answer:
Google AdWords API has some free API credits that it gives to developers. But once you run out you need to start paying $0.25 cents per 1000 API calls. But not each call is 1 credit, there is a rate sheet you must consult: http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/ratesheet.html They do replenish free API credits over time. Not exactly sure if its monthly or daily.

No, Google charges for its API with API credits, However, Google 'randomly' approves and revokes API tokens. To the extent that this practice is currently being investigated by our government.
