How to update facebook page wall from my site?

Can I upload media to Facebook (a video) without posting it on the page's wall?

  • I'd like to have the video stored on our page's wall, but not make it obvious to our fans. I don't mind it being public, but I'd rather not have it appear as a status update.

  • Answer:

Add a video tab to your FB Page (if you don't already have a tab). On the video tab you should be able to upload a video. It should give you an option on whether or not you'd like to publish the fact you uploaded your videos. If you choose to skip that aspect, you should have videos loaded to your page but not on your wall! Feel free to ask any questions on actually how to do any of this if there is any confusion.

Since facebook has launched a new design, it is actually a bit difficult to find - I found it while browsing through our lovethis fb app page under Edit> more Apps> Video. Then, you have to click on it and go to this app and simply choose 'add' to fb pages. Now, you will have a separate section where you can upload videos. The direct link to this app is: http://www.facebook.com/VideoApp Hope this helps, Julia

Yes, Chris, you absolutely can post to your wall and have it there, but not reeeealy there. :)Post the video to your wall, when it publishes, look for the little arrow to the right of your name, click the arrow and choose "Hide from timeline", it will then be visible to only you! Viola! Hope it helps!
