How you can start an online job?

I learned web developing in php and now i want to start my career, but i am not getting any job opportunity since i am just  an amateur.. how can i gain trust from other web developers that i can work with them. Can i get a job?

  As much as I hate to advise this to anyone: try out the freelance circuit. If you register at say Elance/Freelancer/Guru, you might find some opportunities for small amounts of work (an hour here and there). This will give you some real world experience, and as your abilities improve, so will the value of your work. Check http://github.com and find some opensource php projects. You can easily contribute, and you will be reviewed by your peers. If you want to be hired full-time, then as a self-educated developer, you will really have to show your worth. Many companies are more interested in your achievements and contributions than qualifications, so expect to be put on the spot and have your code scrutinized. The reason I hate to advise the freelance market is because it is degrading and will most likely suck the life out of your work. At first, you can't afford to be selective with work, and when you can, you have outgrown the market, and work will dry up because of your higher rates. It is really no way to generate a sustainable income (especially if you live in a country where the cost of living is high).
