I've seen people sell Facebook likes in sites like fiverr. How do they actually do it?

There are many marketing companies that promise to get as many likes we ask for a page, for a price. There are numerous gigs on fiverr that claim to give you likes for a cost. How do they actually do it.

Answer:
There are two ways, both illegal. 1. One is to have a bot network. This essentially works by creating many fake Facebook accounts, running them under assigned proxy, and initiating actions on behalf of user. The latter is very tricky, because it will recuire a lot of endeavour to create a cURL driven system that's hard to detect. Back in 2011, I've experimented myself how vulnerable Facebook is for such behaviour â pretty vulnerable. If you make the users to "chat" with one another, like random content, browse random pages, upload random photos, it will go through unnoticed. I've reported few of the suggestions how to improve Facebook platform against these vulnerabilities, though never got a reply. Eventually got banned from Facebook, though probably unrelated since the fake accounts were still active ~3 months later that I've checked. The same of course can be achieved using cheap labor force to manage many Facebook accounts. 2. The second approach is the infamous use of Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) trickery. It involves such methods as using pointer-events:none; or hidden overlay Like box to make user believe that he is clicking something completely different while in reality he likes whatever the content was given. Facebook tried to overcome this by implementing "confirm" dialog, though in my opinion â rather unsuccessfully (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9083996/facebook-like-button-is-asking-to-confirm-the-action). Coincidently, the "confirm" dialog appeared on Facebook a week after I suggested it on #facebook at http://freenode.net. Though, implemented not as per my suggestion. Third, less wicked way, is to release a micro-site. The content is to be revealed upon clicking a like button. In some cases this is actually a legal, as long as the rule of thumb is followed â user must like what he intended to like. One example of such service is http://virrral.com/packages/. They provide anything from "Twitter" to "5k tube views every 2wks for $305,000 youtube views sent to any video, every 2 weeks.". Before using any of these services you should carefully read through their Terms and Conditions. In case of "virrral" (http://virrral.com/terms/), they simply state "[we] are not responsible for any consequences".

Just like Fiverr, there are many ad networks which pays users to click on ads, perform an action like facebook like, follow a person, view a youtube video. Maybe a very small amount like few cents which might be a lot for people in 3rd world countries. I used to a know a friend in college who used to earn $1-2 by clicking ads. End of the months thats like 40-50$... which in INR is almost 3K equivalent to his 2 months rent in PG.

Firstly, Let me talk about EdgeRank, it is the name of facebook's feed ranking algorithm that decides which stories appear in each user's newsfeed. The algorithm hides boring stories, so if your story doesn't score well, no one will see it. There are three factors of EdgeRank for ranking: 1. Affinity Score 2. Edge weight 3. Time decay whenever you comment on any post, It will increase it's ranking compare than liking a page. So, a group of people like a post or page so it's ranking gets high because of this many other people who are not aware about this, will comment or like. and after getting sufficient likes and good ranking, They sell this page or likes. I bought Many facebook likes and twitter folowers. The user said that they were real and no bot or fake likes. I confirmed and check myself and found out that they were from real accounts on facebook, some having profile pics while some no having. But when I posted anything on facebook it reached to no one and I was not geting any response. Then I came to know the whole game. Those were accounts made by that seller using someone elses info and Pics. I spent over $340 and then I realized this it was all usless to have fake account likes and no response at all. This facebook likes were of my no use because those users have the same fake acount friends that that like giver has mad to give likes. Finally, I learned one thing and a User on http://Meetlancer.com helped me with Facebook social marketing and also suggested me Facebook ads and how to configure them to get best response. So never buy facebook likes that are given directly. Intead use Facebook ad services and Do facebook Marketing.
