How to Set Specific Site Collection as SharePoint Search Scope using C#?

If a person has full ownership permissions to a SharePoint 2007 site collection, (1) can he or she cause serious damage to The Farm, and (2) how badly can they screw up that site collection?

  • Our enterprise people don't want to allow SPD use in our business unit, even though we have SharePoint solution providers who have proven themselves competent and conscientious, and who are are planning to send to SPD training at Mindsharp.  They say it's too dangerous.  Do they have a point?

  • Answer:

If you have full ownership to a site collection, you can delete the entire site collection. You can do a lot of damage. I don't think it is wise.

Other answers

1. They wont be able to damage the farm at all. 2. They can damage site collection pretty badly, unless inheritance is not broken. You can give him/her permission on to the component that they need access to , by breaking an inheritance .
