In what way were Steve Jobs and Gandhi similar?

Every person have some similarities with every other person.Food habbits,clothing,beliefs,principles,political views are some of them.What matters are ideas which deflects the path of action.  Ends and means will follow up with those actions where both have divergent views. Similarities: Understanding of Mass psychology: Gandhi is the biggest psychologists this world has ever seen.He knew the problems of people,he could put his feet in the shoes of every person he met or unmet.Struggle-Truce-Struggle is one of them. Jobs in turn could apply his understanding of psychology in a limited sense.But he knew what people believe in,he could manufacture new needs,applications are one of them. Intricacies of HUMAN NATURE: Gandhi as well as Jobs knew what words to use to get into the soul of fellow being.How to impact,how to find the bottomless solution to the problem. The means of both of them were different but the aims were quite similar--To further the goal . Common Sense Not so Common: Both of them were no genuise.But knew what resources they have and how to optimally utilize their resources. Gandhi had the Mighty All-powerful Empire to conquer.The Jobs had to out-compete every other competitor to discover his Niche. Power Of Hegemony: Both knew the importance of ideas and what requires to self sustain such ideas. Gandhi made the counter-hegemony against Britishers.The more they repressed,the more stronger Gandhi's ideas became. Similarly,Jobs used the current of globalisation to show the consumers what they need to want.Jobs' hegemony is so strong that his products have made inroads into the hearts of people.The more someone abuses apple products,the more people like to buy it.He made apple as a status symbol. Extreme Creativity: While there are apprehensions about jobs that he snatched ideas from other people.But we have to accept that snatching involves creativity too.Finding the idea is the work of an artist where jobs had perfected himself,whether it be iPhone or Pixar. Gandhi in turn was the epitome of creativity.He could connect people's self interest with the interest of nation.Khadi promotion with boycott of foreign goods was one such instance. Another creative moment was the March of Dandi-Salt satyagraha.If you read it comprehensively,the journey of 240KM and, afterwards just taking the salt in the fist bombed the eyes and ears of British.The simple act of creativity produced compounding effects which is unparalled in history.He could effect things with non-violence which no bomb could produce. PS:In no way can both be compared on similar grounds .One had commercial motive while other had to free his men from oppression.One was altruist while other was profit-seeking.We can find another Jobs,but Gandhi's place can no-one take ,in the History of Worlds. Finally,the popper's words can be applied here. You can oppose them,or you can support them.But you can not ignore them!

In addition to what's listed already, both have somewhat similar Spiritual beliefs. They also both had strong belief in the improvement of human life.
