How do I get rid of Internet Speed Monitor?

What is the average internet speed students get at top Universities in the world?

  • I study in a premier engineering institute in India and feel that the internet speed that I get on the University network is very slow (Download speed: 0.51Mbps and upload speed:0.48Mbps. Results from http://speedtest.net). Moreover, I hear that my university soon wants to put data limit on students. I want to put forward a strong case in front of my University administration to upgrade the internet facility at the campus, for which I need to back up my point with some facts. Hence, I need some statistics on average internet speed and data limit put on students at top universities in the world. And what is the speed comparison between the local internet service providers and the speeds at University campus? Any suggestion on how I can put forward my case will be appreciated.
