What would be a reasonable price for a CPM ad?

What's the reason for Facebook insisting to approve my new ad, even if it is a 100% clone of an existing (and approved) ad?

  • Even if the only think I change is the bid price, the ad is still not automatically approved. Why is that? EDIT: I change the price itself to see where the optimum is. For example I change from CPM $0.02 to CPM $0.03 or from CPM to CPC, but the ad itself has not changed one iota. To me it looks like a waste of resources to have human re-approve an add which anyway is already approved. Since I assume Facebook has well-thought procedures and well-run operations, I am looking for whatever their reasoning might be.

  • Answer:

If it's a new ad, it needs to be reviewed. Put it this way, the original ad may have been approved when Facebook's terms were different. Admittedly unlikely, but possible.

Bid-only changes should not require re-approval. If it does, then that's a bug and we should fix it.

If it is a 100% clone, then why would you create that Ad? If it is not a 100% clone and there are slight modifications, then it has to be approved as even a single word change or image change or targeting change can break the guidelines
