How to download shared photos on Flickr?

How many Flickr groups are there in total, and how many are active? Breaking that down, how many of Flickr's 8B+ photos are shared to groups?

  • Is there a simple way to come to this number? Flickr no longer allows the ability to view number of groups by typing a space in the group search bar.

  • Answer:

    There is no simple way because making a full call was probably a hit on their servers. Currently their intro page lists that they have over ten million groups (http://www.flickr.com/tour/?f=hp#section=watch-the-world)
