Mustang acceleration problem?

1998 mustang GT and when I stop and have the car idleling and then you step the acceleration it throws a cloud of white smoke from your exhaust tail pipes what might be the problem their is it costly?

  I would suggest a COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST as this could be a leaking head gasket if it is WHITE smoke as you say. Black or blue smoke under these conditions would indicate valve seals. Have you noticed the antifreeze to be getting low? Do you notice a sweet smell in this smoke? Antifreeze steam has a sweet odor to it.Yes it can be expensive BUT get a couple of opinions.
