If I am using AJAX to render entirely different content on a webpage, is it allowable to refresh the Google Adsense slot as well?
-
I'm in the process of developing a system where essentially all content on a page is changing with an ajax call. We even use pushState to change the URL as it is more or less a new page. Given that only the layout and static assets of the page remains the same, but the content changes, is it allowable to re-render a Google Adsense slot?

Answer:
AdSense is dependent on contextual targeting, so you'd want to pair the AdSense unit to the specific content. Imagine you're a crawler - if you hit a specific URL, the crawler will render the page at that URL and target content appropriately. AdSense isn't really designed for non-static content like you suggest.
