If you like any of the following, you'll probably love Singaporean food: Chinese food, Indian food, any other Southeast Asian cuisine (Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, etc.), noodles, spicy food, seafood, or street food. If you are currently in California, the only way to eat authentic Singaporean food is to have it home cooked by someone who really knows what they're doing, since most of the restaurants claiming to serve the cuisine are far off the mark.

Personally, as a Singaporean, there is no true Singaporean food - everything is a mesh of Asian flavours consumed with American sensibilities, That said, most people consider Singaporean food to be rich & savoury with influences from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, India & China. Food is one of the many things I love about Singapore.There is a huge variety of food and drinks available almost everywhere in Singapore because of hawker centres and coffee shops and there are lots of cuisines to choose from too. Another thing I like about Singapore is that there are many eateries and super-marts which are open are 24X7. Sea food, Chicken and Beef forms major part of food sold here. Pork is also easily available but only in Non-Halal shop
