What are some one person soccer drills?
-
I need to work on my soccer for this season as well as the upcoming ones. I want to improve everything from ball control to shooting--in other words, I want ALL one person soccer drills (drills I can do by myself) you guys can come up with. Anyway, I have a small, contained soccer field in my basement (a little smaller than a futsol field) and I'd like to do most of my drills in there if possible, but I can go outside if you need. I also have cones and all the necessities for soccer (soccer ball, cleats, etc). Thanks in advance!

Answer:
Hit the ball against the wall with each foot and trap it. Develops good touch. Alternate feet and make the the ball just drops at your feet. Do this every day for 30-45 minutes. Your touch will be golden. for shooting - use the cones in the basement and develop two goals on either side. | | that small distance in between them and just shoot in those goals. helps shooting placement. Alternate between both feet. and do that for 20-25 minutes. Next is hit the ball against the wall and work on your turns. so it is like a pass to you and you turn. and hit it against the other wall. Back and forth. Hope this helps.

Keep the ball in the air as long as possible at first then as you get good at it, try mixing it up, by alternating feet, bouncing it only on your knees or your head. When you get really good, try kicking it high in the air and controlling it. Practice running with the ball with your head up, so you can be aware of space in game situations. Run slowly with the ball, and then every few steps, change direction and move as fast as possible while keeping control of the ball. Practice turning to your right, left and about turns. Add variety to keep your opponents guessing, i.e look one way and go the other, stepovers and cruyff turns.

Getting in front of a goal and taking power shots. I suggest this to find your sweet spot and get used to hitting it there. This way you can kick the crap out of it without having to go retrieve it since it is only you.
