How to find a sponsor as an international student?

What are the chance of getting a sponsor to help buy props and equipment for a student film? Where should you look to find a sponsor?

In my experience, to buy: no. But to borrow: quite possibly. My advice would be to contact manufacturers or retailers of the products you need and ask if they would be willing to lend you samples in exchange for a credit. Don't forget you'll need a qualified armorer if you're going to be working with guns. You mention it's a student film: try your college audio visual department, film faculty or student society to ask about equipment. Failing that, if you are spending any money on kit hire, try to spend it all in the same place which will give you more leverage in negotiating discounts/freebies.
