Why is 'Shrink URLs' function missing in the latest version of Twitter for iPhone app?

Link shorteners can provide incredibly useful analytics for Twitter users. e.g. Who clicks on Twitter links, where are they from, which messaging is most effective. While it's a little user hostile -- especially if you've invested in your own custom short URL for branding purposes -- it's a way for Twitter to capture and analyze A LOT of data about the link economy on their platform. Which comes in handy, by the way, when you're trying to figure out a way to make said platform pay for itself.

You can get my App shrinkURL from the App Store which precedes the twitter shrinkurl fuction, it's free and runs on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and allows you to create a short url from the likes of http://bit.ly and http://j.mp.
