How to make scrollbar transparent which is compatible in all browsers?

Are there any plans to make Firefox Sync compatible with other browsers?

  • I use Firefox because of Firefox Sync, it allows me to have the same passwords, bookmarks and history in all my computers. Which is great. The next logical step is to sync different browsers, this way we would have more freedom to change the browser. Sometimes I'd prefer to use Opera or Chrome. If Firefox Sync was a standard supported by all browsers then there would be no lock-in and we would change browsers more often. This is a follow-up question to .

  • Answer:

It's unlikely that this would be an official project at Mozilla, though of course the sync protocol is open source and any client is free to connect to it.  A member of the Mozilla community created a prototype chrome extension, but I don't think it works now: http://bitbucket.org/philikon/weaveclient-chromium/ Still, if Firefox Sync continues to grow (and I think it will, especially after Firefox 4 is launched) it is only a matter of time until people write extensions that allow other browsers to sync. Mozilla wants to win by building the best browser, not by artificially locking people in.
