Google Analytics help?

Can someone help me out with Google analytics and Iframe's

  • Hi in my organization in order to review the performance of the Direct response campaigns we check out the Google analytics data for Landing page analysis. However most of the times we have the lead forms in a iframe on the page and the clicks on the submit button are not tracked in the google analytics. Can you please help me in figuring out a way to view the Visits on the iframe, Clicks on the submit button and exit % on the frame. Sometimes I do see the GA code in the Iframe but dont know how to check it.

  • Answer:

I suspect the iFrame is a link to your Web Form which is hosted on another server?  If so GA can't see that page.  You would need to enter the GA Script on that page to pickup the clicks or use analytics available to the web form builder.  Of course if you have the web form in an iframe that you control (your web form is on another server), then pull it out and move it onto the same server.  Hope that helps...I just happen to be the owner of http://FormThis.com (Online Form Builder) and http://HeatMapEdge.com (web page analytics).
