How do I get my GitHub avatar to show up on my commits?
-
I set my avatar under Account Settings -> Public Profile, and it shows up on my profile, but on my commits, the default avatar shows up instead of my own avatar. How do I make my avatar appear on commits as well?
-
Answer:
Is your committer email address different than your account one? So far as I know, GitHub pulls the avatars from Gravatar. It matches against the email address of the commit. My hunch would be that you've got a different email address set for your commits.
