This is a loaded question, best in terms of services? value for money? location? I've stayed in everything from the Empire Hotel in Brunei to a no star backpacker dump in Turkey. I'd say the best hotel experience I've ever had though was a place in Iceland called the 'Nothern Light Inn', it's a little family run hotel in the middle of a mars like volcanic desert, but it's about two minutes walk from the famous blue lagoon pool that's a runoff from the geothermal power station. As it's name suggests you can see the northern lights from there on a clear night, and there's a 360 degree viewing room that you can walk up to. It's run by a small family who are super nice.  It's not very close to the city, or anything, but I found a good car rental place called SS-car-rental (I think) that will drop a car off to the hotel for you. It's about $200/night from memory, not cheap, but if you can afford to fly to Iceland, you should be able to afford a couple of nights there. Note: I'm not associated with this hotel at all, I've only ever been to Iceland once. I'm a traveller from Australia.

Here you get all type of services like: outstanding rooms, Restaurant & cafe, Gym and spa ,also you can arrange conference or training. I impressed when I stayed over there for one day and would like to visit again and again.

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.  It has everything I like and nothing I don't like.  Also, the Bamboo bar has been refurbished and had  just reopened.

For me one of the good ones are: Hotel Adler in Berlin and Hotel Oberoi in Bombay, India. But there are many individual small Hotels which are ranked Top !
