How to become a great and lyrical rapper?

How do I become a rapper?

  • Answer:

Practice, Practice, Practice. You need to write raps, and try to freestyle constantly. You may be bad at first, but everyone had to start from somewhere. Get feedback from your friends and family, but above all be true to yourself. Don't write raps about stuff you haven't done, being genuine is key to being successful. Look up rhyming and rapping techniques. There may be some you haven't heard of before, inrhyme, etc. And try to make and perfect a unique 'flow', which is how you deliver your words. Another key factor is having a good producer. A producer is the person who actually makes your background tracks that you rap over. If you can find someone who does this that is best, otherwise you could try to learn yourself. Professional grade software for doing this would be something like or . Also consider sampling other rapper's music, but don't overdo it as it sometimes shows a lack of creativity and originality.  When you get better, build a fanbase, make a page, start using (a web service), and or make a MySpace. Try and contact bloggers and get your music out there.

Well, first you have to be motivated to express yourself or you have a message you'd like to share with an audience. Then it is a matter of identifying the elements you want to convey in a style that people might find appealing. For example, say you want to reach out to the kids on the street...you have to do a rap set to a hip hop beat. You can take your message and give it an urban kick. The focus would be on creating rhymes that are "fly," and setting them to beats that are "sick." It becomes a matter of repeating messages with a rhyming format, incorporating slang terms, and hooks. It's also important to have a refrain of some kind...like the catchphrase of the song. Here is an example of rappers that uses all of these important elements to create a very solid song, with a powerful message: Or, here's another example:Suprisingly, some of the best rap nowadays is being produced by middle-age, or slightly elderly, Caucasians. Notice that their lyrics are really packing in a lot of details and a very strong message. "Don't use 'rat' as an insult." True dat.

Well , that's an interesting question . Rap is not something you create it's something that flows out of your brain on to the paper .You need to learn about different rhyme schemes ,multi syllable rhymes ,word plays and a few more techniques .One thing which you can not learn is how to write .No one can teach you basic writing skills but if you have those skills you can definitely learn how to write rap . You need to learn about basic time signatures used in hip hop .The most common time signature in hip hop is 4/4 .You need to listen to a lot of songs and see how people do it .There are numerous ways of fitting the lyrics on a beat and you need to learn at least the most common one's . You definitely need a producer who can make beats for you but initially you can start with the free beats available on the Internet .Just download the beats you like and write on them .The way to write a song on a beat is to put on a headphone ,play the beat and then write so as to fit all the stuff you're writing on the beat .Most common mistakes that beginners do is they don't maintain the syllable count while writing a rap verse . You need to learn counting syllables .In one bar there are four beats and the end rhyme falls on every second beat (most common scenario) .Maintaining the syllable count means the total number of syllables for the first two beats should be equal to the total number of syllables for the following two beats . If you want to write songs about drugs ,parties ,booze then you don't have to learn anything .Just write whatever random shit comes to your mind spit it anyway on a pumping beat and there you made a song . But if you want to make sensible music you need to practice a lot .No matter how good your writing skills are when you start writing rap at first you'll write immature and childish lyrics but don't get disappointed because that's how you begin .As you keep practicing your lyrics will keep on getting mature and someday you'll definitely be able to write stuff that can give people goosebumps . Now we come to the flow and delivery .You need to practice a few tongue twisters to be able to spit complex word combinations .You need to practice a lot before going to the studio to record the song .Make sure you're not missing the beat ,make sure your words are clear and obviously a good flow will always add something to the track . I hope this helps .

How do you become an artist?Well, of course you practice, train and give in a lot of effort, but let's go a bit deeper here. What lies behind all that? Without what, is all that mentioned above futile? What is the one thing that separates a normal person who does something and an artist who puts meaning into that *something*?The answer. INSPIRATION.Get inspired.Because once you do, the will that will awaken inside you will keep pushing you to achieve what you can.It will make you want to work hard, want to practice, want to compose, not want to give up...all the components without which success is incomplete, as everyone says. Practice Nothing more to say about that. Compose Compose raps yourself and with time you'll see yourself getting better and it will boost your confidence level. Listen Listen to other rappers and discover new and innovative techniques. Be innovative and decide what suits you best. Never give up When you feel like giving up, just remember all the reasons you didn't give up earlier for. All those reasons which led to this point. Never Copy Be original. Never copy the art of another artist. Be true to yourself. After all, rap is all about expression and expressing yourself. And lastly, never lose the inspiration that fueled you to go forward.

A2A First of all, learn to rhyme words. Simple rhymes like way-day, time-crime, etc. Then start freestyling. Any topic. Look around you and start freestyling. Write down any ideas, rhymes, punches in a notebook or wherever you like. And keep that with you all the time. Then start rapping on various topics. Topics like motivation, friends, money(I won't recommend this one, but many rappers love this topic), etc. Start battling with your other rap friends. Practice. Most essential. Practice, practice, practice and boom! You'll learn to spit on the spot. I guess you're good to go! Good luck \U0001f44d Hope this helped. Thanks, peace out!

Rap is an art that can only be performed through dedication ,focus and practice.Just like every other activity, you need the passion and love for it, without that it would be hard to push for anything in life. All the best to everyone who is fighting to the top.

READ!! Learn the english language and all it's nuances... Read poetry, non fiction, fiction and reference books like the thesaurus and the dictionary. Start with a rhyming dictionary too. Later you will not need it. With practice you will learn that a real emcee CAN rhyme words with orange. Rule one, practice. Rule two, don't give up. If you are having difficulties refer back to rules one and two. Good luck although I refer to Irish luck which has a different meaning than common luck. As Thomas Jefferson once said "The harder I work, the luckier I get." That's the kind of luck I refer to.

Thanks for A2A..........To become a rapper is not a very tough job because if you have the good grammar and vocabulary skills, and good sense of music and bits......and have the rhythmic flow in his mouth is all any person need to represent himself as a rapper......The main thing or the fact is to become a legend Rap artist like Eminem or Tupac Shakur is really a tough one because they don't have only good grammar and vocabulary base of support with good recording center along with producer like Dr.Dre in case of Eminem, but also they have the experience of their lifestyle, they had suffered a lot in their life for which they have matured and enthusiastic lyrics in most of their songs......Eminem, for case had been suffered since childhood from his Mom and dad, then a big trouble in his rap career since his He is White, and rap and hip-hop songs are mainly for Blacks, then even life struggles continued with his wife so all these make him a good lyricist and a good lyricist with perfect placing of words in each verse of a song makes the songs fantastic with the flow of music and instrument beats and that is the signature remark of an excellent Rapper.....All The Best!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You.
