What are the best schools for a Masters degree in Internet/digital marketing?

  • I'm mainly looking for schools in Europe or the US. By "best" I'm looking at great teachers, good classes (that are in touch with the real world), a school with a good reputation, a good student culture/atmosphere, etc. I'm mostly interested in working in the field of Internet marketing so I would like an education that is focused on that (to some degree). I might look at general marketing degrees as long as the majority of the courses are related to Internet marketing or would be beneficial for someone working in that field.

    NYU Stern recently launched a specialization in Digital Marketing as part of their MBA program. NYU also has a Masters program in digital marketing. Also check out the NYU Tisch ITP program. However, if you really want to learn digital marketing you should just start your own site and start playing around with building traffic through SEO/SEM or find a job with a start up in user acquisition. Nothing beats real life experience.

You say the best, without discussing cost. I doubt any have degrees in Digital Marketing, although their focus is there. Stanford, Harvard,  Kellogg/Northwestern, Wharton/UP, Ross/UofM are all leaders. One reason people go to these schools is to build a strong network. That would be more valuable than a narrow focus degree. For an international MBA I would recommend http://thunderbird.edu/. It has a high placement and great reputation.
