    If you're looking for dedicated geocaching GPS units your are most likely best to center on either the Magellan GC or the Garmin Dakota 20. Both have paperless caching, which means that you can load all the cache information right into the units.  The Magellan is geocaching dedicated so it's not great for any other GPS functions but it is more affordable. While not quite as affordable as the MagellanThe Dakota 20 has touchscreen and is great for almost all GPS functions but very handy for geocaching. Don't bother with the Dakota 10 - for the extra few dollars it's worth paying for the added features. Of course, you can move up the line for larger screens like the Oregon or Montana. Other Magellan or Garmin units can be used for caching but they aren't as user friendly. Also, if the kids have smartphones, it's easy and useful to just use a geocaching app.
