How quickly will Siri learn my accent and characteristics of my voice?
-
From Apple's FAQ on Siri [1]: "[T]he more you use Siri, the better it will understand you. It does this by learning about your accent and other characteristics of your voice." How long will this process take? [1]: http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/siri-faq.html

Answer:
When I was still at Apple about 2 years ago, the answer to this question was that after about 20 voice interactions with Siri, the system would typically have enough data about the user's voice to have covered the bulk of the adaptation process. Apple is continually working to improve their speech system so this may or may not still be true, but I'd guess its a reasonable approximation even today.

My expectations are low. It has been a running gag on Big Bang Theory. Good luck developing a close relationship with her.
