I manage a Facebook account for an ecommerce business and we're looking to change our username/URL on Facebook - is there a way to do this without deleting our account and starting over? We have over 500 friends.

Usernames can be set at http://www.facebook.com/username/ But I assume you have already set this username before and would like to change it again? Currently Facebook allows you to change your Profiles username once, but not your Page usernames. I have started a petition to give Pages the same ability: http://www.change.org/petitions/facebook-allow-page-username-changes-only-once

My understanding is according to something I read in the past few weeks that Facebook may give you ONE chance to change the name, if it has already been customized previously. Finally Facebook provides a submit form to change your Page's name (w/ 500+ subscribers). Use this link here: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact_us.php?id=262629790471076 They have changed our Company's FB Page name in 3 days. Good luck!

If you have a profile: you can do it once irrespective of your no. of friends. If you have more than 100 likes on a fan page, then you will have to explicitly delete fans above 100, and proceed with change in name. or create a new one. URL for taking any action is: http://www.facebook.com/username

you can always try contacting a nearby Facebook PMD (preferred marketing developer) and ask them to contact facebook directly and maybe help you out. If you have valid business -related reason, they might do it for you. You can look up your nearest PMD here: http://www.facebook-pmdcenter.com/

I tried this, but it would only allow me to do it if I changed to using Facebook as myself (as opposed to my company).  And then it gave me options to change my own personal profile URL.  Thoughts?
