Is it possible to delete a Facebook page associated with my profile and then create a business profile and use the 'old' username for a Facebook page?

You can create a new profile/page with the same name ,but you cannot use the same URL. Even if you delete the profile/page usernames are not reusable. If the username you desire is on a timeline account (personal profile) they can be transferred . You can only transfer your https://www.facebook.com/help/211813265517027 once. Login to your old account, grant it administrative rights to your page, then follow these instructions: https://www.facebook.com/help/516060455143473 If the username is already on a page, or has been released from your assets, it cannot be recovered.
