Do professional football (soccer) teams play in London in the summer?

  • I would like to catch a match in late June, but team websites don't indicate what the season is.

    They don't really - the standard season ends May13. Some of the teams will have exhibition games and warm up matches but these will typically be a little later on in the year, ahead of the 2012/13 season and for the better clubs, these will be overseas. In some years you will be able to catch international friendlies but that will be a little harder this year with the Euro's on this year. They start in June and will be played in Poland and the Ukraine. You're best bet is to hope a Latin American team plays an exhibition game (unlikely) or find a good pub and settle in for the Euros. If England is doing well, then that'll be as good as a live game, given the atmosphere.
