Why does my iPhone show my spam emails in my inbox rather than in the spam folder like on my desktop email client?
-
same MobileMe account on both my iPhone and Mail.app - for example presently on my iPhone it is showing 325 unread emails and yet on my desktop client I have 125 unread emails and a few hundred in the spam folder. My iPhone appears to now be able to tell when emails are spam vs. not spam; its infuriating. any ideas?

Answer:
It sounds like you are using POP email. You should be using IMAP to make this work. The iOS mail client doesn't have any filtering like Apple Mail.
