How to store more information using FormsAuthentication?

When using Facebook Login or Twitter login on other sites, does the 3rd party site store your login information?

  • I'm in the preliminary stages of thinking through an app and I wanted to give users the ability to login, but I don't want to maintain the security of their credentials.

  • Answer:

Yes, Third party sites stores the username and emailID generally for their future use. Developer cannot access password of user. In facebook api, we can access all the general info, like profile username, email, pic, likes, shares etc. Twitter api would not even let you access emailID.
