Is global environmentalism racist?

Environmentalism: Are there any "so crazy it just might work" kind of  global warming projects being worked on / funded right now?

    Global warming activists/environmentalists ask the wrong initial questions.  The first one should be, "Why is the world so slow to respond to the threat?" and the answer is because every major social factor is opposed to anything being done.  Fiduciary duty, political lust for power and the public's pain threshold all oppose effective action. The only solution is social engineering and that's my endeavour.  (see http://meemoes.com )  Once the planet care = market share connection is made the rush to appear environmentally positive  and thus gain market share will result in the fading of opposition and major positive changes to our approach to the problems.

I guess the closest to that is Nathan Mhyrvold's idea of releasing sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere at the poles, effectively increasing the albedo of the atmosphere and reducing the amount of solar energy that reaches us by approximately 1%. That would be enough to stabilize temperatures at present levels. We're reaching the point where geo-engineering is going to be required. Reducing carbon emissions is great, and needs to be done, but it won't get us all the way to where we need to be when we need to be there.
