Why do I get Quora points for answering questions (or at least having my answer up voted), but pay them to ask questions (show them to topic followers)?
-
While it may not in fact keep people from asking questions it seems to put the focus on answers not questions. I think questions are fundamentally more useful than answers, and this feature bothers me a bit.

Answer:
It cost points (QCs) to ask to be sure people don't ask low quality questions similar to the way you get rewarded for high quality answers. I do see what your getting at since I thought the same thing before. I like to ask a lot of question myself. Don't forget you get Quora credits (QCs) for every person who follows your question.
