Affiliate Marketing: A former employee has asked our CEO to promote a webinar on our website, Facebook, Twitter, etc. The webinar, topic, and company is not closely related to us. How do I do this, verbiage wise, so it doesn't look like some random link is on our site?

Answer:
Having made the assumption that this webinar is legitimate, a blog post on the company site and social shares of the post link should be able to fulfill the requirements of your question. I would carefully review the content in question before doing this. As for verbiage, have him be straight up and honest, after having reviewed the content he can share it and recommend they watch to get....such and such result....I found this to be interesting and this is why...etc.
