What are the best options to protect my commercial code (written in java) through obfuscation or encryption?
-
I want to make life difficult to anyone will try to decompile my code. It would be better if this 'encryption' could be linked to maven profile and preserve the JVM code optimization

Answer:
Try http://dasho.com/ or http://www.zelix.com/klassmaster/index.html. Both are a bit expensive, however. If you want a great, free, and open source obfuscator, try http://www.sable.mcgill.ca/JBCO/ (doesn't do string encryption)
