Should I quit my job at Accenture to work for Aerojet?

  • I'm a consultant in Accenture's consulting workforce and i've been offered a supervisory role at Aerojet in their Information Systems department. I'm on a fast track at Accenture but i'm really tried of traveling to the client every week. The position at Aerojet is more of a 'supervisory' than my current position at Accenture but i'm worried that Aerojet will operate at a much slower and less efficient manner than Accenture - something I cannot stand. Also, I believe that if I stay at Accenture, i'll make more money (Partner at Accenture = $300,000 - $3,000,000 annual salary), but again, I am tired of traveling.

    I liked Accenture.  I was an M2 at age 21, they recognize excellence early and aren't afraid to invest in it. Remember- to earn $1m+ you are going to need to be running and gunning which means you will need to be selling $5-10m+ per year while having managed revenue of around 50-60% of that number while having a chargibility ratio of >30%. It's not easy money by any stretch of the imagination.
