What are the most effective ways to promote blogs?

Keep it fresh.  Don't leave it to decompose.  Keep writing stuff.  The traffic will come.

Over the last 3 years, I’ve tested various ways to promote my blog. Here are 3 ways that are really effective:Pinterest:Pinterest is an amazing way to drive traffic to your blog.2 months ago I started a Pinterest experiment that literally exploded my traffic. I had no Pinterest account and no followers.In one month I managed to get +11,000 new visitors, 1,1K Pinterest followers and 15–20 subscribers/day from Pinterest alone.
