What is the cheapest way I can transfer money from Hongkong to the US?

What is the best way to transfer money from Germany to the USA?

  • @Best way to eschange with somone who wants to change the other way around I have some money as Euro in my bank in Germany while I working there. I would like to transfer them to USA bank account (Bank of America). What is the best (and less costly) mode of money transfer ? and Why ? I also have a PayPal Account, If that is the best way to do it.

  • Answer:

You asked for the "most economical way".  For small amounts, a PayPal transfer (e.g., personal "payment owed" transfers incur no fee)  can be the most economical. Perhaps CurrencyFair is another method?  Also, some Bitcoin exchanges support EUR withdrawals, so maybe that is an option at some level.

Hello, well, to my best knowledge, I have not seen/met/learned about a free charge service from any bank. Everyhing has a price in the bank. In Indonesia, Citigold customers are privileged to have zero fee for funds transfer to other banks. Perhaps, because as a Citigold customers, we pay service monthly fee that able to cover customers' fee when making a transfer, I use this service everytime. However, I  believe this is only happening to certain privileged customers. I understand that we wish to cut down costs. But, cutting down to zero cost for a service that we enjoyed, especially the safety of our money, our transactions and peace of mind, is not wise. Called me old fashioned, but only trust bank as for your financial institution for funds transaction. Nowadays, there are so many financial services opened to customers with a very low fee, even zero, yet, I always go back to my bank for wire transfers. That is one way banks  earn and able to maintain its presence to provide excellent service for the customers. Well, hope this answer help.

There are better ways than Paypal to transfer money. The best thing to do is to use a comparison service for international money transfers. It will save you a lot of time because it checks in real-time the rates of money transfer services. It’s like http://booking.co/m for the hotels, but for remittances. It shows all the information needed: rates, delivery methods, transfer delays, ease of the use of operators.Try a comparison http://%20https://moneytis.com/txs/create?countryFrom=DE&countryTo=US&amountToDebit=1000 for a transfer of 1′ooo EUR to United States. Also for large amount of money sent I would highly recommend a robot-advisor likehttps://neomy.io/?utm_source=quora&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=lgi&utm_term=ba10&utm_content=GermanytoUS. Neomy is a personal bot which sends notifications about the exchange rate when she detects significant variations.

Wire Transfer, so I guess the question is which bank gives the lowest rates and has the best currency conversion numbers?

Consider comparing rates of non-bank foreign exchange specialists. Ensure they are authorised and regulated by the FCA. We list all major ones here: http://MyCurrencyTransfer.com

There are a lot of good choices.  It's particularly important to look for competitive exchange rates (the real ones they offer not the generic mid-market rate) and also to look for a service that has no fees. Note that some French banks charge to receive a 'wire transfer' which is very annoying. You will need an IBAN number for the recipient bank account.  There is plenty more about this at http://www.rationalfx.com in French and English
