I have an Apogee Duet audio interface, but the headphone signal is weak. Since speakers and earphone volume can't be adjusted separately in the DuetI, IS there an affordable headphone amplifier that will boost the headphone signal? (Male 1/4 inch phone jack input to amp, and a female for the phones?

Answer:
There are headphone amplifiers for sale and as DIY projects online. Also, using maestro, you can adjust the output level from -10Db to +4Db for monitoring. Most pro audio equipment runs on +4.
