Webcasts: What is the best way to archive a webinar?

  • We are using GoToMeeting through a organization to reach their members. We'd like to be able to send out a copy of the webinar (audio & video, not just slide deck) immediately after we finish. Can we run something concurrently with GoToMeeting?

    Go to Meeting is kind of a pain for this - you need to be leery of the settings you save with (don't save to their GTM file save it as a .wav) and then it's too big for a lot of video sharing sites - I've just uploaded a .wav to Viddler with a 30-40 minute Webinar recording and had it work really well. Other people might have better systems but this was significantly more painless than the 85 other things I'd tried before it. Good luck!

(disclosure -- I am an investor) Many companies are using http://www.looplogic.com to archive webinars so that you get full tracking of who watches the archive, when they watch it, and for how long. The tool "auto chapterizes" webcast videos so that they are more navigable. You can also use the LoopLogic platform to do other things (like record video over presentation slides using your webcam)
