Using an iTunes gift card in another country?

Why can't I pay for iTunes Match using money redeemed from an iTunes gift card?

  • I can use bank card only. I have US iTunes account for more than 5 years now and I've been paying for everything with gift card, but now I can't.

    According to the Apple's policy, you can use iTunes Match only when you have a validated Payment Method. That means you must have a credit card or Paypal account in United States, and any other countries' credit cards or Paypal account will not be verified by iTunes Store. However, you can use the redeemed money to pay for iTunes Match. So if you doesn't have an credit card, you may ask your family or friends to borrow one, verify it in the account page, purchase the iTunes Match by redeemed money, then deleted the card from your account.
