How do you make phone calls using Skype in a tab?

How can I make Skype video calls on the Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Tab?

  • I downloaded the Skype for Android apps for both these devices and was surprised to find I could only make audio Skype to Skype calls.The webcam does not turn on and there are no buttons/settings for making a video call, as there are on my windows laptop. What's the point of an integrated webcam on these devices if you cannot do Skype video calls? Please help- is there a way to do this?

Not sure why this ancient question is surfacing now. Skype for Android clients have supported video calling for a long time now. The current release includes a tablet optimized UI as well that supports Xoom, Galaxy, as well as Kindle.
