How can I custom set the width and height of a <select> control on an HTML form?
-
I want it to have a standard width regardless of the length of the element texts, and for it to expand up to a certain width if wider elements are to be entered.
-
Answer:
<select style="width: 100px; max-width: 200px;"> <option></option> etc </select> though old browsers (IE6) do not honor max width.
