The best volunteer abroad organization/program?

Where are the best sites to list volunteer abroad opportunities?

  • I work with a non-profit based in Pune, India. We're looking for people to volunteer for at least 3 months. Where can I list this opportunity? Preferably for free.

  • Answer:

I would also recommend listing your program on the volunteer abroad section of Go Overseas: http://www.GoOverseas.com/ Listing your program is great, however it's really important to also have reviews of your program. Go Overseas is a review site, basically like the Yelp or Trip Advisor for programs abroad. The more reviews your programs have, the more traffic you'll get. You can contact me with questions. And yes, listings are free.

After receiving funds through the Omprakash network, use your Omprakash profile to report all expenditures in a timely and transparent manner Post educational resources to share with other members of our network-- for example, teaching resources, fundraising strategies, or videos about a successful intervention content copied from their site.

If you want to reach the German market http://www.wegweiser-freiwilligenarbeit.com is a good choice, but it's not for free. Sustainable volunteering directories also have bills to pay and therefore need to generate income.
