I have made a backup of my Nokia E71, and want to recover files from it. Is this possible?
-
Nokia's helpdesk said that only the images and video can be recovered. I have installed Nokia Suite, but my E71 had a faulty USB port, so was only able to backup the sim to the Micro SIM card, and then import that from my other phone to my PC. I haven't been able to read it from Nokia Suite. Can it really be that stupid that I cannot recover these contacts, files and settings? Is Nokia's Symbian software really that poorly designed?

Answer:
Yes, it is possible to recover files from your backup. Nokia is not poorly designed in the context of your question. I think you must have encountered problems backing up the content to the PC. Otherwise, whatever you back up, you can restore.
