What are some cool Android Apps?

The consumer experience with Native apps is what made the App Store resonate.  So did Android native apps. So why are companies doing mobile web apps?

  A perception (which may be valid or otherwise, largely depending on the actual application you're building) that "writing once for all platforms" will be easier. Mobile web apps can offer the user a more immediate experience - they don't have to go through the effort of installing a native app.  With a mobile app (and assuming a good data connection) there's no delay between app discovery and starting to use the app. Getting your native app discovered is hard (there is no known formula for getting featured on the big app markets like iTunes / Android Market) whereas mobile apps can benefit from SEO, which everyone can make a stab at. HTML5 is (was?) very fashionable.  Maybe for good reason.  All I'm saying is that if a lot of people are doing HTML5 apps, others will jump on the same bandwagon.
