What does Verizon store on LTE SIM cards?
-
Based on a phone conversation with a (assumed clueless) Verizon customer support person, switching sim cards can improve the ability of the phone to switch from 3G to 4G LTE. Does this make sense? Initially we were thinking no, but maybe Verizon stores more than the UUID on the sim card, like channel numbers or something.

Answer:
As Far my Understanding 4G SIM will store 4G Service Feature Set, which contains details about the subscribed services and features.

Among other things, Verizon LTE SIM cards support the Multi-Mode Service Selection (MMSS) logic and file structure. This is a QUALCOMM extension to the standard LTE SIM structure, that allows such multi-mode LTE phones to fall-back to CDMA mode when LTE is not available at a given location.
