What are the options for hosting a small plone site?

What are some options for off site file storage? Our site requires hosting a number of large files.  Because we want to go with a hosting service that specializes in development support rather than cheap storage we need to find an offsite file storage site.

  • We were considering godaddy, but they require a website wrapper around any files you store on their servers (they guy said we can't just use them as a file dump)

    I would like to toss in my vote for Rackspace's CloudFiles system. It's similar to Amazon's S3 service, and offers many of the same API options that Amazon does. Only, I find the web interface much simpler to interface with. http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/cloud_hosting_products/files/

Do you need to get to them, or just stuff them someplace? If you just need to stuff them someplace and rarely access them, you can't beat the Amazon Glacier service ($0.01/GB/mon). But they penalize you for downloading more than 20% of what you upload, it's mainly an archival service. But it rocks. If you need real-time access, then I vote S3
