What are the different names for London?

How many editions did there used to be of the London Evening Standard and what were their names and order (times as well if you know them)?

  • I was talking to a colleague about this and he remembers it having two, yet I remember a time that it had five editions, I'm pretty sure that two of the names were 'West End Final' and 'Late Prices'. Please note before answering that this is going back a while, in the last few years there were two or three editions, I think it is one now. Wikipedia seems woefully inadequate on this and I don't think it has the historical information. I would wait for my dad to get home each night with the Standard so I could read the funnies, depending on how late he worked or if he bought it in his lunch hour it would be different edition.

  • Answer:

15 years or so ago there were 3: the first in early afternoon, a late prices presumable after that market closed at 4:30 and a west end final that was only in the centre of town
