How To Cut Men Hair?

How long does it take to grow out a buzz cut to long shoulder length hair for men?

  • From a Minority Report Tom Cruise clipper cut to say the length of Brad Pitt's hair in Troy?  6 months? 9 months? 1 year? more? to about this length?

  • Answer:

Hair grows at different speeds for different people. I went from the former length to the latter in just under a year and a half.

Growing hair out can be a tedious process. On average, hair grows about ½ inch per month. A little faster in the summer, a little slower in the winter. Going by that theory, your hair will grow approximately six inches per year. Growing a flowing Troy style mane will most likely take you a little more than a year. This is not to be carved in stone. Some people grow hair faster, some slower. Of course, there’s always extensions.

ok guys, I thought I'd answer this one since I often get stopped in the streets with people asking me about my hair.  Massage your scalp and hair with olive oil twice a week. Wash it after 30 minutes or so. Never overuse shampoo, and never wash more than three times a week.  Don't use a conditioner. Try to use a wooden comb in your hair instead of a brush or a plastic one. I'd give it about a year, but it depends on how fast your hair grows.

The average hair growth is roughly 6 inches in a year, depending on how tall you are and how long your hair is currently will depend on how long it takes, lets say you were about 5'8 about 68 inches and your head was shaved it'd take you roughly 5 maybe 6 years for the classic half body length , though an inch a month would be nice that's not very realistic unless you either A) already have fast hair growth , or B) you take supplements like biotin to speed up the hair growth process

3/4 of an inch a month on average.   You'll have to get some minor trims on the way to keep it healthy looking and shape it a bit.
