Demographics of the United States of America: How many smartphone users are there in major US metro areas?

• Based on most the marketing data I have seen (late 2011), there are somewhere in between 80-100M smartphone users in the US, and yet I imagine a large majority of these users are concentrated in major US metro areas (e.g. SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York). Are there any studies from 2011 or early 2012 which provide a more regional or ideally city-based approach to the smartphone market?

But since the population is the biggest too in these areas, I think a more in depth analysis is necessary (or just finding the entire dataset Comscore is relating to.)
