How much does a domestic-purpose fuel cell cost, on average?

-
Answer:
Solid oxide fuel cell systems (i.e. stack + bop components) operating at intermediate high temperature range (800 C) cost approximately 7000-8000 $ per kW. Price scales up linearly with size. The current target is to reduce the operating temperature to say 550 C, and bring the system costs to 1000 $ per kW system, using cheaper components. Hope this gives an idea.
